We used to eat here quite regularly, but gradually we found the service and accommodating nature of the staff deteriorating. Our last meal was horrendous and included pasta with raw chopped tomatoes provided when we had asked for a tomato sauce for our fussy daughter (this had previously been provided and on our first visit offered) and then being asked to hurry up with our pudding as they had booked another group for our table despite the fact that we were spending as a group a large sum of money and were quite regular customers. Suffice to say we have never been back.

Wonderful restaurant!  Although a limited menu, everything is cooked to order and it's quality is of the highest order.  Fine veggie choices (with seafood for those who require something different), ample portions and friendly staff in a small but ambient setting.  When we visited we were inadvertantly overcharged, but didn't notice.  However, about ten minutes after leaving the restaurant we received an extremely apologetic telephone call explaining the mistake.  On our return we received a refund and further sincere apologies, including a demand by staff that we reduce our tip accordingly (which we refused).  A very pleasant experience that we'd recommend to anyone.

The food was delicious, but the service... well, give it a miss if you have anything less than the whole evening free. This is a small restaurant with a limited menu: just three dishes, one of which usually is non-veggie (fish or seafood). The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff very friendly. On my visit (a midweek evening), I was the only diner. The lady in charge was very welcoming and advised me on the dishes on offer. All three courses turned out to be excellent. Unfortunately, the service was glacial. I had a very long wait for the soup, which was bad enough, but then I had to wait another 40 minutes for the main course. I was tempted to skip the dessert, but was assured it would be quicker. In the event, I still had to wait another ten minutes. The total bill came to just under £20, which is not bad given the high quality of the food. If you have time to kill, the Greenhouse is definitely worth a visit. But don't go there if you are hungry. By the time the food arrives, you will have died of starvation.

Had an excellent lunch today at Greenhouse. Great new lunchtime menu. Pad Thai Noodles were delicious, as was celery soup. Disagree with Terry from Newport's comments. I will make it a regular lunch time treat.

Must disagree with Terry of Newport! Fennel, parsnip and leek soup to start with delicious wild mushroom & spinach filo pastry parcels as a main course. The service was prompt, staff friendly and the ambience relaxed. Loved it.

This must be the worst advert for vegetarianism in Wales! The food is unimaginative, the service is slipshod and it lacks a proper restaurant ambience.

Intimate & trendy atmosphere in the heart of Cardiff's student population. Favourite haunt of lecturers and theatre goers. Prices: £6-7 per main course. Great food and friendly staff.

Feature your restaurant.
