Was in North Yorkshire last weekend visiting friends and took a trip to see Ripon Cathedral. Afterwards we had dinner at Lockwoods which was a great experience. The restaurant is new, and has both a modern and traditional feel with great art on the walls. Thank goodness it is totally non-smoking, and also welcomes children. The service was efficient and friendly. I had the pear and goats cheese salad, followed by the wild mushroom risotto... delicious! The Tallegio, rocket and asparagus pizza also looked yummy. There was also a wide ranging specials board. Lockwoods has a very light, warm and relaxed atmosphere... we will be back.
