Food was lovely, place was nice warm and cosy, amazingly there did not seem to be a soul in there from the Manchester region (as you can here the cackling of my fair ladies) no jellied eels though.
Unfortunatley one of the waiters seemed to be quite pushy when taking our order and it seemed like you was bothering him if you asked his advice.. Not a good touch to a lovely place..

It's the best Vegi restaurant in Manchester - hands down. I'm not a vegi yet if I had to impress someone with an informal yet quality dining occasion then this is the place. Plus you can bring your own bottle - what more do you need!!

I have eaten twice at Greens, and was particularly impressed on this occasion; my companion & I thought it was one of the best meals we have ever eaten out, and he is a meat eater too. The service was very friendly and quick, and the food absolutely delicious, it was hard to find fault. The starter of deep fried oyster mushrooms mentioned in another review was heavenly, not to mention the chocolate pudding. We paid £56 for two starters, main courses, puddings, two drinks and two coffees. I think that is not particularly cheap, but totally worth it as a treat as the food was so good. We thought the different items were well thought out in terms of ingredients, seasonings etc, and beautifully cooked; for example the vegetables in the mains were cooked but not mushy. Booking ahead at the weekend is clearly essential. The only downside is that we are not local so will only eat there when visiting friends; we think it is as good as Terre a Terre in Brighton, and well worth searching out as a special treat. I also liked that fact that I heard our waiter giving our feedback to the chefs.

Good service, imaginative, tasty food, attractively served and a wide selection of interesting soft drinks. The fried oyster mushrooms served like Peking Duck with pancake, plum sauce, spring onion and cucumber were one of the best things I have ever tasted in a veggie place. My three (male) meat eating companions enjoyed it too - you can't get higher praise than that! Average restaurant prices.

The menu was pretty mediocre and the owner was extremely rude. I would recommend people to stay away.

Extremely good food given in good measure. The atmosphere is informal, friendly and relaxing. The menu is imaginative and the food pleases all the senses. Bring your own wine. Prices from £15 upwards per person. Booking is advisable for evenings and weekends. This is, not surprisingly, a popular restaurant. Highly recommend.

We eat at this restaurant from time to time and are never disappointed. The imaginative and varied dishes are always tasty and mothwatering. The use of herbs and spices is profuse. The atmosphere is trendy and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

The location is in the trendiest, most happening suburb in town. The food is glorious for veggies and even non-veggie mates are drawn to return to Greens. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosmopolitan - students and mixing with Didsbury's young IT and Doctor community. And then you get people like my parents who take their clients there for a spot of lunch!! Pricier than 'chain' cafebars but well worth the visit.

Great food. Good, friendly, cosy but not oppressive atmosphere. Regular menu changes. Small corkage charge. Price range ~ £15 a head.
