The Greenhouse has a HUGE menu, with dozens of vegan options.

The food is very good, but expensive.

Service is fairly slow, but if you're willing to wait, it's definitely worth a visit.

Booking is ESSENTIAL.

The Greenhouse is a gem of a restaurant and isn't replicated anywhere I have ever been before. The menu is immense with something for everyone no matter if you ar e veggie, vegan or just after a chance. There are healthy options and indulgent options and deserts galore. The atmostphere is homely and the attention is personal. If you haven't been to the Greenhouse then go and try it out. Don't be put off by the look from the outside because it looks like a house on an ordinary road - inside there is something special. Its quirky and a little different and has a lovely old fashioned feel to it BUT you wont be rushed or shoved in and out, there will be time to dine in the old fashioned style and with more food to choose from than anywhere else - you may like to take the advice that will always be available should you ask.

What can I say? Everything you could ever wish for from a restaurant! A lovely setting, run by one of the welcoming owners you could hope to meet. I defy anyone not to be satisfied with the comprehensive and varied menu... all tastes catered for. Oh, and with very competitive prices too! For the record, I can recommend the Spanish Chick Peas starter and the Aduki Bean and Oyster Mushroom Bake, but I got the distinct impression that there wasn't a bad option on the menu. Already looking forward to our next visit!

This is my absolutely favourite restaurant. Have been many times and never been dissapointed. It is advised to ring and book as sometimes will only open when bookings are made. Every option on the menu is delicious so I can't mention one favourite dish. Don't expect fast food - the owner is so laid back he's practically horizontal but this just leads you to leave feeling completly relaxed and satisfied. A must for any veggie/vegan food lover.

Not the easiest to find, an end terrace tucked away 2 minutes walk from Wilmslow Road. Informal, relaxed atmosphere, romantic when the nights are dark and it's candlelit. I've never ever come across a wider selection of dishes and about half are suitable for vegans. Give me the hot avocado with garlic mayo (vegan £3.25) followed by the aduki bean and oyster mushroom bake (vegan £7.95) and for dessert the chocolate mousse laced with cointreau (vegan £3.65) and I'm stuffed! 1/2 litre of house red wine £3.95.
