This small, self-serve cafe is located, along with the Museum of Garden History, in the redundant St Mary-at-Lambeth church on the South Bank, a very nice building indeed, and about 10 minutes walk from the Westminster tube. (People not visiting the museum exhibits are welcome to eat at the cafe.) Each day, there is a selection of about half a dozen mains, each one served with the daily three-or-so salads, costing about £6. The choices of main are interesting, and the quality is about as good as one can expect from dishes that are made in large batches at the start of the day rather than cooked to order. It was good enough on our first visit that we made a second visit and were not disappointed.
