Firstly, I must comment on the review above: Maria Smith (London) wrote on 26 July 2007. If you go to the restaurants web site: http://www.thepekingpalace.com/ it states: "Pure and Natural" Vegan and Vegetarian Chinese Restaurant and Juice Bar, the clues are there as to non vegan produce.
Now, top quality vegetarian food with the majority of dishes being fully vegan were found by my girlfriend and I with excellent service. Excellent non alcoholic wines are also available. I will be returning next week.

Peking Palace is infact closed Saturday afternoon but they open as normal from 6 onwards.

This restaurant simply offers such divine food, it's like being a child in a sweet shop. It always satisfies my stomach and I always go back for more. The food is top notch grub and for a low price which is always a bonus.

The staff are friendly and always willing to help. They are so nice that they tailor their dishes to suit individual's needs-they will make things without wheat, make it vegan instead of vegetarian or they will offer their best alternative they can.

I saw the restaurant advertised on a website for vegetarian restaurants. Was very excited because it's unusual to find a restaurant that claims not to use any animal products whatsoever.

How wrong was I. Being the paranoid soul that I am I asked if soya milk would be used in the cocktail, but was informed that no cow's milk was used and also included in two of their main meals and several of their desserts.

Although they do have soya milk ice cream as a dessert ,they do not feel it necessary to use soya milk as an alternative where milk would be used in a recipe in all their dishes.

The vegan options were delicious, and far too much to eat. But their claim that they did not use any animal products was far from the truth.
If like myself you're a dedicated vegan, ask before you buy.

Me and my partner regularly eat here. The staff are very kind andhelpful and always willing to modify a dish to suit your needs. Has manyVegan options and no dishes contain egg or MSG. The environment is veryrelaxed with soothing music and beautiful lighting, aside from that the foodis exceptional and will even appeal to those that dislike spicy food andalso meat eaters. Specialises in seitan (wheat gluten, mock meat) dishes. Our favourites are: Starters: Veggie drumsticks, Satay 'chicken'; Main meal: Veggie butter 'chicken', crispy noodles and 'chicken'.Expect to pay around £10 a person for an evening meal, £5 for a eat in lunchtime buffet, £3 to eat out. Buffet not served in evening.

My partner and I dine at Peking Palace regularly and think that it is the best vegetarian restaurant we have ever been to. It is totally vegan, not using any animal products at all. They serve mock chicken, mock duck, mock meats etc. as well as veggie stir fry and curries etc. With a huge menu range it takes many visits to try the entire menu. We have taken our non-veggie friends there and they have all been astonished by the fantastic taste too. Absolutely recommended.

Feature your restaurant.
