Friendly staff with perfect vegan knowledge, wonderful food, relaxing atmosphere and good portions at a reasonable price. My partner and I had a bowl of mixed olives with organic bread....mmmmmm...vegan chili with pitta and salad, apple & blackberry crumble with vegan icecream for dessert, plus a glass of vegan wine and an organic ginger beer. One word to some it all up....EXCELLENT!!! Well worth going out of your way for.

Great atmosphere in this little cafe in Keswick. Had lunch and evening meals there. Good vegan selection. Lunch consisted of a hummus sandwich with a side salad. Lovely it was and a good size as well. The missus who isn't vegan had a cheese sandwich which apparently was excellent as well. For evening meal I had vegan burritos which again came with a side salad and again very generously proportioned. The missus just had a huge bowl of salad. I had summer fruit crumble for dessert which tasted as good as it looked! The other half had a chocolate fudge cake, which I was informed was vegan as well. Overall, top quality food, decent vegan selection, nice staff and highly recommended!

On the day we visited (high Summer) the place was busy and the staff flustered at times (although not unpleasent).  The food arrived after a brief (understandable) delay and was well worth the wait!  Generous portions, fully of flavour the menu contains a large variety of choices for children, making this a good choice with our 3 year old son in tow.  The quiche is good, as are the nanchos... the carrot cake is compulsory.  Heartly recommended.

The Pedlar is a welcome addition to Keswick's cafe scene. This small restaurant has a surprisingly varied menu, with all dishes being carefully prepared from the freshest of ingredients. The fare is entirely vegetarian (and largely organic), with vegan options generally available. The service is friendly, the prices reasonable and the ambiance pleasant (although it would be better without the occasionally loud and intrusive music). My only serious complaint is that the opening hours are a bit erratic. In summer, the evening hours vary day by day, and in winter they don't seem to open for dinner at all. Still, it's an excellent place for lunch and afternoon snacks.

A cafe by day, a restaurant by night. Prices very reasonable, with large portion sizes and delicious food! Freshly prepared desserts and dishes of the day available. Dead impressive!
