I have been to the cafe many years ago. I could say it was back in 1997. I was studying at Humberside and Lincolnshire University and staying at Princes Avenue. I always dropped by at the cafe for the coffee (extra specially with the cold weather and mashmallow). I wonder if it is still the same? Till today, I still talking about it. Most memorable is the atmosphere and good coffee. Staff back then were very friendly too.

I love this cafe and as a non-vegetarian that's saying something. The food is always fresh and tasty and the milkshakes are the best thing ever. If I lived or worked near enough I'd go to the Zoo Cafe for lunch every day.

A very friendly atmosphere that is typical of an establishment where the owners and staff really enjoy their work. The Zoo is very child friendly. Children can do drawings which are then put up on the wall. It is very colourful and there is lots for them to look at.The Zoo is a great place to drop into while out in the Newlands Avenue area. You can have anything from a simple cup of tea to a complete meal. All food is freshly prepared from quality ingredients.. Simply turn up, take a seat and choose from the menu on the blackboard.Especially recommended are their soya milk cappuccino and soya milk hot chocolate.. Some examples:Main courses between £2.50 and £4.50; Daily specials £3.95; Deserts £1.95; Various cakes between 70p and £1.00; Soup + Bread £2.25; Vege(Vegan)burger £2.95
