We went on the opening night (12 Feb 2008). It was very busy, and we got a table by the door, which was rather uncomfortable as the icy wind kept blowing in every time the door opened - there is no porch. The restaurant is quite small, but fits in a lot of tables, with an open kitchen at the side. The style is clean and minimalist; as a result of this, and the busy kitchen, it is *very* noisy, and not the kind of place you would want to spend a lot of time relaxing in. There were a lot of staff and cooks (I counted 9). Service is prompt and friendly.
The Indian/Chinese menu is extensive (192 dishes!) with almost every imaginable variety of noodle, rice and snack, and reasonably priced. Food is freshly cooked in front of you, and mostly very tasty. Our kids had the Schezwan noodles and Chow Mein, which were both excellent. I had the Triple Schezwan (fried rice, noodles and veg), which was great, and wife had an OK dosa plus birayani, which was rather a let-down. Total cost for four with drinks (milk shakes, fruit juices and fresh coconut) £25, which we thought was quite reasonable, but that would have been £31 without the opening night 20% discount.
They also do a £3.99 lunch buffet which looks well worth checking out, and promise pizzas coming soon. I don't know where they will fit everything, but as this is our second nearest veg restaurant (after Mr Man in Edgeware),... We'll be back to find out!
