The Bean Inn St Ives Road Telephone: 01736 795918 Web: www.coastcornwall.co.uk/beaninn.html E-mail: thebeaninn@coastcornwall.co.uk OPENING TIMES Fully Vegetarian Vegan Organic Esther George (Slough) wrote on 3 January 2008 Absolutely fabulous. My husband and I have stayed there twice and we intend to holiday there again at Coast ( which the Bean Inn is attached to ) this year. The food is varied, tasty and extremely high quality. A lot of effort is put in not just with the food but with the ambience in the restaurant. The friendliness of the three women that run the restaurant and the guest house ( Coast ) has always made our stays very pleasant. Plus their beautiful cats Omelette and Poppy are an added bonus. In addition Coast is in a wonderful location with breath taking views Andy and Helen (Bedford) wrote on 30 April 2007 We visited the Bean Inn on Thursday 5th April 2006, 2 veggies, 1vegan and 2 meat-eaters. We all loved the food and the ambience of theplace. It looks a little uninspiring from the outside but dont be put off,its a revelation inside. The food was very high quality, do expectrestaurant prices though. Its attached to a veggie B&B (The Coast), we didnttry that but are very tempted for our next visit to Cornwall. Nicola Quinlan (London) wrote on 4 September 2003 Although small, the setting is ideal with views of St Ives bay and a beautiful garden should you wish to dine outside. The restaurant also houses the WILD PLANET ART GALLERY which has some amazing work on display. The food is stunning. Typical starters include warm cherry tomato and mozarella salad on a bed of rocket with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Main courses I have tried include roasted tempeh with herb mashed potatoes, cranberry chilli jam and fresh garden vegetables and the tofu and crisp vegetable stir fry. Prices are excellent (£2.75 starters, £6.25 main courses) all food is fresh and usually all ingrediants are organic. I love this place and during my recent trip to Cornwall ate here every night. Well worth a visit. Paula Richards (Restaurant connection) wrote on 22 July 2003 Stilton tart, stuffed peppers, spaghetti bolognaise, stir frys, roast dinners, salads, full vegetarian & vegan english breakfasts - menu changed daily. Small, friendly, nice garden & decking area - laid back chill out music, good coffees. Main lunch items from £4.50 - 3 course meal approximately £12.50 - £16. |
