We went on a chiily saturday night and found the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The menu is good value and always offers a vegan option. Our cashew croquettes and mash, and spicy orange soup to start were really tasty, and the chef made me a special oat pancake with apricots to end the meal. Wine starts at 6.95 a bottle. It is only open Fri/Sat night, but offers a cheap and cheerful cafe menu during the week. Scott Bentley (Sunderland) wrote on 29 December 2006 I'm a big fan of Burnley as a place, but would not necessarily have imagined it to be home to such a wonderful vegetarian restaurant cafe; so glad we found it! We had pasta with pine nuts as a starter, followed by paella & nut roast main courses, all were very tasty; in fact I'm getting peckish just thinking about it! Nice organic wine too. A very friendly, welcoming place with a relaxed atmosphere; highly recommended. Kath Crook (Burnley) wrote on 14 March 1999 A small worker owned cooperative. Very friendly. Red Triangle serves two main hot choices per day (one is usually vegan) and always offers excellent soups and snack meals alongside the main menu. Licenced, and from time to time host music nights. |
