We visit this restaurant several times during each of our visits to Brixham. We've never been disappointed by the service or the menu, just wish it was nearer to us so we could go more often. The menu is impressive for such a small restaurant, we've always enjoyed everything we've ordered and been delighted with the cheerful service and reasonable prices.

A lovely little cafe where the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent.  Very good value for money.  I shall keep going back as it is all part of my day out when I visit Brixham.  Just for the record, I am not a vegetarian but I love the food and the juice bar and the wonderful choice of beverages.

I thought it was just me - I am so pleased that someone else has spoken up about this place. I have been in three times, there won't be a fourth!! Each time I have been in there has been either an argument occurring in the kitchen or the lady who appears to own the place is sat down gossiping about other customers whom I assume are regulars as she knows a lot about them! It is reasonably priced, and the food is pleasant, so if you can face eating in a place where you never know if there is going to be an argument, enjoy! Beware though, don't give anything away as when you leave it will be discussed in great detail!!

Unfortunately I had an exceptionally bad experience at the Garret Cafe in Brixham. I was shocked to hear the owner of the cafe gossiping about customers that she herself described as "regular customers". There also seemed to be very little appreciation of her staff on the day I was there. The man who served me was very polite and helpful, though I genuinely considered him 'bullied' by the owner. She was rude, aggressive and not at all pleasant. To both staff and customers. The food was reasonable though nothing more, though it was the attitude of the lady in charge that most concerned me. The best I can say about the whole experience is it was cheap.

After eating at the Garret I would choose no other place to eat. They provide a wide range of food of good quality and price. An excellent atmosphere provided by Frances, David, Hilary, Jade and Claire.

Excellent home-made food offered at very reasonable prices. A typical example would be Stir-fry and rice at £2.95. A varied and constantly up-dated menu keeps you coming back for more. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere provided by Frances, Dave, Emma and Chris is the icing on the cake.

Found the Garret while looking for lunch and wanting shelter from the rain! Full the first time we looked but a couple left and chased us up the High Street to let us know there was room!! Glad they did. Very nice and value for money. Small but friendly.

After eating at the Garret cafe I will not eat anywhere else when I am in Brixham. The choice of dishes seems almost endless, the prices are more than reasonable and the service is always very friendly and efficient. All the food is home cooked which makes it all the more special. Frances and David are wonderful and will always make you feel welcome. They serve the best coffee I have ever tasted and the vegetarian Sunday roast is out of this world. If you are going to Brixham then this is place to eat!!

This place has great food, low prices, and my favourite are those great potato skins, cheese, side salad and salsa dip. They're fantastic. At under £2.50 they can't be missed. Glen a happy customer.

I work in Brixham and have found my 'home from home' at The Garret - excellent food freshly cooked - David & Francis are wonderfully friendly and interesting hosts and if you ask nicely in advance they'll probably make you something special to order. Really special!!

Bijou, all home-made, and "the best coffee in town".
