One of the best veggie indian places to eat. Now once again you have to sit and suffer people eating (and that smell) flesh. Personally for me a disaster, I hope this new all veggie place comes sooner rather than later as there are far to many veggie places to eat in Brighton without having to suffer the stink of dead animals. Den (Brighton) wrote on 23 September 2007 This used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Brighton; great food. Nees, the owner, makes you very welcome. I am very sad that they now sell meat as I personally do not like sitting alongside people eating flesh. I believe they are opening another veggie/vegan place on the Level, I can't wait. Steve (Brighton) wrote on 4 September 2007 Now called Planet Meaty. No really! Still does the same vegan options as before but with meat options too. The owner said that everything is cooked separately earlier in the day which might explain the bank of microwaves. Still very friendly and good sized portions. They're supposed to be opening another vegan place in town but I don't know where or when. I'll leave it up to you. Still not open before 6pm. Daren Saunders (High Wycombe) wrote on 9 October 2005 As soon as you open the door you realise straight away that this is no run of the mill Indian restaurant with the sounds of the usual sitar being replaced by the sounds of Bob Marley playing in the background! You are greeted by a friendly face and shown to a table. The menu is small compared to some but some excellent options will have you salivating before you have looked the whole menu up and down. Another thing that hits you is the prices - superb, organic wine from £9.99 a bottle! This is something a few of the other veggie restaurants in Brighton should take notice of. The food is simply magnificent and for the money I can honestly say I think you will struggle to find cheaper in Brighton for this quality. Portions are more than ample and leave you comfortably full. Just make sure you start with the wonderful bhel puri. This place has a superb range of drinks, alcoholic or otherwise. A couple could have a great meal for under £20. Quite simply give it a go, a super friendly atmosphere awaits. Personally I can't wait to return to Brighton to get in there again. |
