There is no mention anywhere of it being a vegetarian restaurant, but in fact it is fully vegetarian and I also wasn't met with a blank stare when I asked about vegan food. In fact the waitress promptly came back with a vegan menu! Very impressive. The place was packed out, it is all very well presented, and the waitress attended to our every need. I had antipasto for starters, linguine pasta for main course and a fruit gateau for dessert, and the food was all top notch. I looked at the menu and could not believe my eyes at the choice of food, the fantastic cool decor, the atmosphere, the wine service. Totally wow, so good we went back again the next night and did the cinema deal. Excellent value for money. Andrew Pollock (Barrow-in-Furness) wrote on 7 April 2002 Cannot book table in advance unless you go for the combined meal & cinema deal (complex has 2 screen cinema, small shopping arcade, and an excellent cafeteria). This costs around £14 per person for film and 2 course meal (your choice starter or pudding with main course). Recommended - it is very civilised to enjoy a meal and stroll next door with reserved tickets (obtained when pay after eating meal) for film while you relax and digest the food.Food is excellent although the wholefood pizzeria angle does restrict the variety a little. However there are usually some specials that are not on the website menu, and the food on the menu is very good, reasonable price, and service & atmosphere are both pleasant. The vegetarian garden cafe (downstairs from the restaurant) is also open earlier for light meals and cakes. |
