Great reataurant. We eat there every now and then because it is mainly organic. We are, sorry to say, not vegetarians - our 'religion' is organic. That said the vegan/vegetarian food is excellant with a good choice, including the variaties of a 'specials' board. Very good service, interesting! location and a nice atmosphere.

I'm vegetarian, my (non-vegetarian!) partner took me here as a surprise for an evening meal on Valentine's Day. The food was delicious and as this was my first time in a totally vegetarian restaurant it was so nice to have an entire menu to pick from rather than just a few dishes.

The menu was varied and imaginative, from exotic chick pea curry and tofu stir fry to "tradtional" bangers and mash and pie with gravy, roast potatoes and veg! So, something for everyone. For dessert I had a delicious dairy free tiramisu, which tasted every bit as good as the real thing.

Also, I want to make it clear that, whilst the food is good wholesome stuff, this is not a "health restaurant", they have a great (organic!) wine list and beer and spirits are also available (although of course there are plenty of fruit tea and soft drink options for those who don't drink!). And the prices are very fair, particularly considering the fact that the food is all homemade. Cheaper than Wetherspoon's microwaved stuff!

Last but absolutely not least, the staff were friendly and welcoming, without being pushy. The atmosphere of this place is fantastic if you're into more relaxed things, it's a small place with only 12 tables in two adjoining rooms (the back one of which was only lit with candles when we went, very intimate!). So it kind of feels like eating in someone's home, in all the right ways.

To sum up, would totally recommend to any vegan/vegetarian and open-minded non-veggies. Although do book, it's a small place, and bear in mind that (as of last week when we went) they don't take cards, so cash or a cheque book is a must! We'll definitely be back when we're next down that way.

My partner and i recently won a competition (animal aid), for a meal for two at the 'Wessex Tales' restaurant. It was absolutely perfect in every way! Top class service, very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. An interesting, varied menu impressed my 'non veggie partner'!! We recommend fully this charming and impressionable place and will definately be going back. Personal thanks to the staff for a wonderful time!

This is definitely the best restaurant in all of England. A must visit for anyone going to Bournemouth. The service is excellent and friendly. The food is absolutely wonderful. We ALWAYS go to this restaurant multiple times when we visit Bournemouth and it is loved by all, vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

This is a really good restaurant, we had Lancashire hot pot with onion bread, it was fantastic and as we are originally from Bolton, high praise! Also had a cashew roast with all the trimmings, sticky toffee pud, orange choc Tart, and Hot chocolates, really good value at £23.00. Nice atmosphere, good music and very pleasant helpful staff. Wish we lived nearer as I would definitely go again. It is the sort of place you would have confidence taking family and friends to, vegan or not, you know they would enjoy the food.

Fantastic place which serves good quality vegan food. The lady who runs it is friendly and chatty, which helps add to the pleasant and cosy atmosphere of the place. The food is filling and well made and the menu is wide enough to allow for repeat visits. The background music is also enjoyable, ranging from Morrissey to Celtic folk music. In terms of price, it's not particularly cheap, but it has to be considering that all the ingredients are vegan and GMO free. As a vegan, I'd rather pay more to have a wide selection of good food than pay less and have something boring. Highly recommended and would visit again.

All dishes are special because they are so good, the atmosphere is so friendly and casual or romantic if that's what you are looking for, the prices are so cheap for the food you get - I would pay more but I won't tell them that! I have tried most of their menu and cannot decide which is my favourite, the nut roast or the tempura with salad and rice - yummy. Four people - with drinks and coffees - came to £38 - how do they do it?

Licensed to serve beer, wines, and spirts. Menu: masala dosa, tempura, chinese sweet 'n sour, curry, nut roast, salad & pate combo, superb vegeburger and chips, mouth watering onion-herb bread with garlic mushrooms, chocolate cake to die for, tofu cheesecake, many different flavours of vegetarian and vegan ice creams, apple crumble, and many more. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming and the service is very friendly and efficient. Prices are low and the food quality is easily the best I have tried anywhere. The staff are all dedicated vegetarians and vegans.
