The Peking Palace 669 Holloway Road Telephone: 020 7281 8989 OPENING TIMES ![]() Vegetarian: Fully Vegan: Fully Organic: Options Chinese Vegan Sarah (London) wrote on 12 March 2010 Never will you find another place that serves so many vegan dishes. They even have vegan fish and chips!! The quality of the food here is brilliant and with good portion sizes so you leave feeling satisfied. Occasionally they have home made vegan cake which is lovely. The staff are always helpful in tailoring dishes to each individual's dietary needs so you don't need to fret about asking. Steve (London) wrote on 26 February 2010 I've ordered home delivery from here for years. The food is excellent. They will happily cook to order, e.g. low oil and salt. I'd love to see some new items on their menu, although they will also prepare dishes off-menu. The owners and staff are good people, and clearly committed vegetarians and I'd be very disappointed if I moved away from their delivery zone. Prices are reasonable and portions good. Strongly recommended for vegans/veggies and carnivores alike. Sunny (Ilford) wrote on 10 October 2009 Nice staff, warm welcoming environment & great tasting food! Someone I know recommended me to visit this place, and since then I have recommended it to several others because their food is so tasty and its just fantastic. The price is reasonable and the wide choice of dishes on the menu is excellent. I have been here a few times, but will carry on visiting it as much as I can. pardip (ilford) wrote on 24 July 2009 My Husband and me love this restaurant so much. It takes us an hour to get to this restaurant but we make this Journey at least once a month if not more. We both used to be meat eaters and this is a great substitute. Staff are friendly, there is lots of variety which means we can still have our favourites such as chicken drumsticks, chicken satay etc. Its perfect for people who are looking for tasty meat substitute and also don't eat fish and egg. Most of the dishes and drinks are also diary free. We Love it! Paul Beadsworth (Leicester) wrote on 13 August 2008 Firstly, I must comment on the review above: Maria Smith (London) wrote on 26 July 2007. If you go to the restaurants web site: http://www.thepekingpalace.com/ it states: "Pure and Natural" Vegan and Vegetarian Chinese Restaurant and Juice Bar, the clues are there as to non vegan produce. Sam (Cheltenham) wrote on 8 November 2007 Peking Palace is infact closed Saturday afternoon but they open as normal from 6 onwards. Maria Smith (London) wrote on 26 July 2007 I saw the restaurant advertised on a website for vegetarian restaurants. Was very excited because it's unusual to find a restaurant that claims not to use any animal products whatsoever. Jonathon (London) wrote on 30 May 2007 Me and my partner regularly eat here. The staff are very kind andhelpful and always willing to modify a dish to suit your needs. Has manyVegan options and no dishes contain egg or MSG. The environment is veryrelaxed with soothing music and beautiful lighting, aside from that the foodis exceptional and will even appeal to those that dislike spicy food andalso meat eaters. Specialises in seitan (wheat gluten, mock meat) dishes. Our favourites are: Starters: Veggie drumsticks, Satay 'chicken'; Main meal: Veggie butter 'chicken', crispy noodles and 'chicken'.Expect to pay around £10 a person for an evening meal, £5 for a eat in lunchtime buffet, £3 to eat out. Buffet not served in evening. Jackie (London) wrote on 25 September 2002 My partner and I dine at Peking Palace regularly and think that it is the best vegetarian restaurant we have ever been to. It is totally vegan, not using any animal products at all. They serve mock chicken, mock duck, mock meats etc. as well as veggie stir fry and curries etc. With a huge menu range it takes many visits to try the entire menu. We have taken our non-veggie friends there and they have all been astonished by the fantastic taste too. Absolutely recommended. |
