A little daunting at first as it looks like you're going in someone's front door, but it does say it's an entrance! Once in the hallway there's a doorway to the hairdressers/beauticians on your right, or turn left up the stairs to the restaurant.

It's beautifully fitted out, with a chillout area, sofas, or table and dining chairs. It is light and airy with a good complement of natural light and ambient lighting, and a view towards Walney Channel. Soft music in the background keeps conversation private, but is not so loud that it's difficult to hear. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and that menu! I had a magnificent Pear and Garstang Blue Cheese with Rocket on a baguette thingy (sorry can't remember the name - just the taste!), followed by a gorgeous lemon drizzle pud (plus a couple of cakes to take home too!).

They also have a selection of teas and coffees, and even flavoured hot milks for those of us who like the latte experience but aren't keen on coffee!

And you can also pick up a complete meal to take home with you in a giant sized doggy bag! Great for anyone who has spent the day in Barrow and wants to take a bit home with them, or for those who live or work in the area.

Barrow is a great place for wildlife and walking, fantastic views, a good selection of shops, beautiful architecture, and veggie heaven! I'll definitely be going back for more - I might even finish off the day with a pedicure downstairs!

Great cafe which serves delicious vegetarian food - love the Moroccan filo pie in particular! Excellent atmosphere and very, very helpful staff! It's a shame there are not more places like it!</I>

The Mediterranean Flan is to die for - I love the array of home made desserts including lemon pie with caramelised lemons on top. Some vegan dishes are available. The setting is very contemporary and chic, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The owner Gary even grows some of his own organic produce. Excellent value for money, you've got to try this place.
