Great food and a friendly atmosphere. My only complaint (which isn't a proper complaint) is that the service is so speedy that the meal seems to be over before you know it! But it's a good restaurant, and if it weren't down so many stairs I would probably be there more often (I'm disabled).

We have just been to the Rainbow Cafe tonight for my birthday. The food was fantastic as always excellant & if we could we would one of each off the menu. My hubby had two puddings.
The plates are full you will not go hungry.
The atmosphere & the staff are great.
The only bad bit is that the cafe is in Cambridge I wish it was based in Northamptonshire instead but I am sure if we lived near we would dine out there every week.

Another restaurant I have been going to for about 4 years now. Good location in the heart of Cambridge, food is always lovely and staff friendly.

Nice food! Like this place a lot. It is a bit cellar like it's true, but the food more than makes up for it - it's really nice. Would eat every meal here if I could. Really good vegan selection.

My husband and I ate here on 2 consecutive nights and tried many of the dishes. The menu was wonderfully varied, the food consistently fresh and tasty. Many of the dishes were gluten free. Staff know what ingredients are used in each dish - so those with food allergies can eat with some confidence. Slightly uncomfortable seating was the only drawback.

Cafe type atmosphere in a rather gloomy cellar - but the service was warm and the food tasty.

Catered for all tastes. Superb variety cooked well in a cosy setting. Difficult access for the disabled although I understand there is a special children's menu. Moderate prices.
