Nanu's Indian Takeaway - The Taste of Bengal 72a High Street Telephone: 01344 874020 OPENING TIMES Vegetarian: Options Vegan: Options Organic: None Indian Simon (Restaurant Connection) wrote on 14 December 2008 I personally know the owner of Nanu's (Ascot) and as a reply to John Roland, the Nanu's in Wakefield has no connection to the original one. They were just using the name and menu. So it's no surprise the quality isn't very good. The original nanu's in sunninghill has excellent service and has a diverse menu, including vast vegetarian options. The chef there is outstanding and the staff are always friendly. John Roland (Wakefield) wrote on 20 February 2008 You have just opened an Indian take away in WAKEFIELD. My family have just finished our first meal from Nanu's Wakefield. The food was only average, the Nan breads were very poor and the chappati' s were the worst I have eaten for a long time. I have put half of the order along with the menu in the bin. I suggest you recall the shop workers home. I shall never eat from them again. The staff had difficulty in understanding my order and the order arrived 40 mins late. David French (Bagshot) wrote on 11 September 2004 You wouldn't necessarily expect an Indian takeaway to feature very highly on a list of Vegetarian restaurants. But Nanu's scores very well on both choice and quality. Rather than the usual Indian Restaurant staple of "Vegetable Curry", Nanu's offers 18 different veggy main courses, 25 side dishes and a set menu. There is also a choice of murdered animal dishes. Each dish is varied and imaginative, and the food is great - instead of an undefinable mass of overcooked vegetables, you get properly cooked, tasty veg. Prices are around £4-5 for a main course, £3 for a side dish and £2 for rice/breads etc. Plus free delivery within 5 miles for orders over £10! |
