Sadly Eat & Two looks like it has closed.
The food and staff were fantastic. I'm sad
to see it go. Where am I going to get their
fab double cheese burger and french fries?

This used to be my favourite Saturday brunch place. I arranged to meet friends there 28th Nov, the place is empty and doesn't look like it's coming back. No warning, their website is still up, the phone rings but is never answered. Miffed.

I have to say I was disappointed. I'd heard good things about Eat & Two Veg - but I found it very overpriced, even for a take-away.

I had the vegetable curry to take away - one of very very few vegan options - the rice was oily and tasteless, whilst the curry was so runny it almost spilt out of the box and was very poorly seasoned.

Plus it did not come cheap!!! It took a long while to be served too!

The problem with this restaurant is it seems more geared to catering for vegetarians and attracting open-minded meat-eaters rather than vegans.

There are far better places to go as a vegan to be honest.

Have been to Eat and Two Veg about 4 times now over the last couple of years and was a bit disappointed that the menu hasn't changed - especially not increased the vegan choices. Latest visit was Sunday 15 March for lunch and the food and service were, as ever, excellent. We ordered a vegan soya milkshake each (delicious) and the bottle of vegan white wine (lovely). I am veggie so had lots of choice but my vegan partner was disappointed that, actually, there are very few vegan dishes all of which he'd had before. Same for the desserts - only 2 vegan choices. I had the sunday roast (spinach and lentil nut roast with all the trimmings) which was gorgeous and far too much but i did have to ask for more gravy. Overall, a great place to eat but we are now looking at trying other places in london next time we visit to get more vegan choice on the menu!

I went here very recently for a lovely meal with a friend. The food was great and there were plenty of vegan options on the menu; although more expensive than the usual vegan eateries I frequent (!) the prices were fair.

HOWEVER: I was pretty unimpressed with the drinks menu. The restaurant offers a broad selection of wines, of which one is marked with the 'vegan' symbol (used throughout the menu). Hurrah I thought! Vegan wine! However, the waiter told us that in fact this particular wine was not vegan despite being marked as such on the menu. Further, whilst he was aware of the difference between vegetarian/vegan wines, he had no idea as to whether any of the other wines on the menu were suitable for vegans and did not offer to go and ask the manager. Sam Smith's beer (vegan) was available but they'd run out! Overall I was quite taken aback that a restaurant which was otherwise so accommodating to vegans was so hopeless at the drinks side of things, to the point of actually wrongly labelling wine as vegan when it wasn't. Eating in restaurants as a vegan requires having quite a lot of trust in the staff to comply with and understand your dietary needs and I have to say I didn't have an enormous amount of faith in them after that.

That said, the food really was nice although very heavy on the fake meat. Definitely worth going as it's a lovely looking place to which I imagine you could happily take non-vegetarians.

Great food here with a wide menu! Love the diner style and all the juices, shakes and smoothies are just fab! Being a vegan it was great to be able to have a vegan shake, so delicious. My mum and sister (both meat goers) loved the food here. I go often and recommend it to everyone i meet!!

Fantastic place, they do mock meat so we were able to have "duck" pancakes for starter which was lovely! Good range of vegan options and gorgeous puddings with custard. Very busy even on weeknights and good choice of vegan wines. Good prices for London. Highly recommended.

I've been a vegetarian for 25 years and this is my all-time favorite veg restaurant. Unfortunately, I live 3000 miles away, but everytime I'm in London (at least once a year) I go there almost every night! The food is fantastic. I especially love the EatV burger, the best veggie burger I've ever had, and all the extras that come with it (fries, coleslaw, salad, etc.) are great too. The Sunday nut roast is to die for too! Even my meat-eating husband and my 84-year-old meat-eating mother love it! Go, you won't regret it!
