Yet another superb buffet lunch at the Diawana on a Friday lunch time.
Just so much the best buffet lunch in town for ages now.
Saw an ex- minister of Health whilst queing for the food as it was absolutly jammed packed. Love the way that they have a cold salad section before moving on to the main agenda of the amazing curry displays
which are heated and replenished constantly. It is such a vast colourful array of different types of food that it must surely appeal to everyone even if they are meat eaters at other times. The desert trays are not to be ignored either as they have wonderful mango jelly slices, rasmalie & coconut slices along with masses of delicious fresh fruit.
As I was serving myself I remarked to an elderly lady next to me that I had been visiting the Diawana for a very long time and still love the place to bits. She asked me how long and I replied about 20 years plus, whereupon she said she had been going there for about 30 years. It has to be said she looked alright for the experience and I would as always recommend the Diawana to others for either the wonderful lunch time buffet or the Thalie experience in the evening. Simply the best curry buffet in London as always, check it out for yourself!!!! (Costs about £7.50)

David Nash, I don't think it's fair for you to call anyone who doesn't like Diwana a moron.
If you're happy with third rate service and second rate food then the very best of luck to you - just make sure you've got some imodium for the following day.
I won't be going to that turd pit ever again, however cheap it is. I'd rather eat dead rats (actually you might find some in your bhel puri next time you go, I have seen rats in Diwana, it has to be said).
Thanks.

Have read the reviews for the Diawana and feel moved to say that the
food at their Saturday & Sunday buffet is absolutly amazing and some of the best that i have ever had anywhere (30 years a veggie, Veg Soc Member).
For £6-95 per head this is not only best food but also the best deal in town.
Second thoughts ......dont bother as it leaves all the more chance that I will be served and I dont really care if the morons that write these reviews go anyway!!!!! Please Diawana, just keep cooking food the way you always have its utterly superb and I love being able to buy beer or wine in the shop next door. (The Thalis, Masala Dhosas & Mango Milk Shakes are also incredible)

A very very poor experience. My family have been going to Diwana for over 30 years. I hadn't been for 4-5 years because of previous bad experiences but thought I would try again today.
It was awful. The decor is bad. The tables and seats are cramped and uncomfortable. The toilets are a sex-offender's paradise with no privacy and not to mention the fact that they're broken and filthy.
The food is totally bland (and no longer particularly cheap). But the worst thing about Diwana is the service (or lack of it). People swipe at your plates to get you out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. The waiter even said to me as I was hunting for my credit card "can you hurry up, I have a queue of people outside". Rude and insulting.
Do yourselves a favour - don't go to this restaurant. I shan't be going again (ever).

The all you can eat buffet lunch is amazing value - everything tastes really fresh and a real effort has clearly been made. All the food here is delicious. A real bargain.

A lunchtime bargain... wonderful buffet till 2.30 (I think). Cold starters, delicious; hot mains, delectable; puddings, fabulous. All you can eat for under £6.95. This place is an utter gem.
