As a vegan I think chance cafe is the best place in the area for a tasty vegan meal. Favourites include the avocado red onion and tomato ciabatta, hummus and olive/carrot/tomato ciabattas, herb pate and tomato sandwiches, the spinach and chickpea casserole (mention you've vegan to get soya spread for your butter!) and various huge salads such as hummus, carrot and olive and carrot, celery, sultana and walnut. The filling soup of the day changes regularly but it always vegan and available with soya spread for the bread, my favourites are the pea, carrot and red lentil and mixed vegetable soups. We make an effort to always have at least one vegan cake available too, e.g. carrot and sultana cake, apricot and almond, date and apricot oaties and my personal favourite, the farmhouse fruitcake.

We also can make any coffees/teas with soya milk, and in the shop sell a wide range of organic soya and vegan products such as soya milk, yoghurt, cheeses (cream and mozarella etc.), whipping cream, chocolate made with soya milk (tastes like galaxy, yum), bio D vegan household cleaning products, vegan soaps and toiletries, sausages, sosmix rolls, falafels, hummus and suma tinned soups.
