Acorn Wholefood Restaurant 26 Sandford Avenue Telephone: 01694 722495 OPENING TIMES Vegetarian: Unknown Vegan: Options Organic: Options Wholefood LesD (Church Stretton) wrote on 24 July 2009 Have frequently visited the Acorn, and have found the food to be tasty, wholesome and not expensive. The soups are usually delicious, often unusual, and very tasty. The home made quiche is very full of flavour. The salads are simple but full of flavour and fresh. The puddings have a very wholesome taste, and the pudding portions are very generous. The building is old, but the cafe is well fitted out, clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The girls who work at weekends and holidays are always polite, well-trained, friendly and efficient. colin cliffe (cheshire) wrote on 6 April 2009 inbelievably dissapointed, £34.50 for 5 tiny little meals ,none of which were particullly appetising, all set in a very tired dismal looking cafe. Service and cleanliness were fine but I would not recomend this to anybody, and I am quite easliy pleased as a rule. Maureen O'Bryan (Wednesbury) wrote on 1 October 2003 I'm vegan so I asked if the spread was vegan and the lady in charge just 'lost it' - said she had used the same spread for years but that wasn't the answer to the question. Talk about a cook with attitude, all I wanted was a simple yes or no. Would never pay them a second visit, amazed they are still open. M.
